I bought this snow globe and candle with a gift card I had received from my in-laws, so I took this photo to show them how I spent my birthday money.

- So, did you do those photographs in there, or what?

- Yeah, yeah, I sort of dabble around, you know.
(I dabble? Listen to me - what a jerk)

- They're really wonderful. They have a quality
(She's a great looking girl)

- Well, I would like to take a serious photography course.
(He probably thinks I'm a yo-yo)

- Photography's interesting because, you know, it's a new form, and a set of aesthetic criteria have not emerged yet.
(I wonder what she looks like naked?)

Thanks. I'm a newbie to this, but I've been having a lot of fun learning :)

There used to be a trolley line in the early part of the 20th Century that ran between Trenton and New Brunswick. Within my township, parts of that trail have gradually been re-paved and opened to the public as walking/running/biking paths. This advertisement is along that trolley line.

I always enjoy seeing things that demonstrate that my township existed prior to the McMansion boom.

I like the bottle theme in your pictures today. How's that Seaver juice?

Haven't tried it yet. We're saving it for special occasions.

I love this penguin candle holder. I was playing around with taking pictures of it, and I added some lighting by putting a partially seen jar candle directly behind it in addition to the lit candle in the candle holder.

This sign is hanging inside the Grover's Mill Coffee Company, which will be opening up within my township this week. It just cracks me up.

My water-proof cam got away from me one day and this shot came out. It's the nose of my board with a little ocean water over it. I don't really know how it happened, but the blurriness looks kinda neat, I think.

Very cool!

The blurriness has to do with the fact that the camera was moving during the shot. Most of the time that's a bad thing, but occasionally something interesting results.

On the Grover's Mill Coffee Company theme, I thought this was cute.

My friend and I were out for a walk last week, and there were some deer on the trail. This one wasn't photo shy -

Some nice photos from my Japan trip in 2006:

I like how the deer knows to use the crosswalk.

The Martian candy that Scarlett posted above reminded me of this. In Japan, they sell "Buddha Boogers" as snacks:

We didn't try any.

I thought my candle looked pretty last night, so I decided to shoot the flame up close.
